Alecia Barbour (Stony Brook, New York)

US Administrator Alecia Barbour  provides support and assistance to ACLI’s directors, administrative staff, and students.  Alecia also coordinates with Stony Brook University's Office of International Academic Programs to assist ACLI students with registration and records.  From 2007-2009, Alecia was an administrator of the Critical Languages Scholarship program's Russian language institutes. This is her fifth consecutive year to provide administrative support to study abroad programs hosted by St. Petersburg State University. She is currently a PhD Candidate in Ethnomusicology at Stony Brook University (Dept of Music). When she isn’t working on her dissertation or assisting study abroad students and personnel, Alecia has an avid interest in community memory and oral history, and enjoys traveling at every opportunity.
