its Advanced Critical Language Institute (ACLI) and New York Institute (NYI) programs for summer 2013 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
- ACLI: Intensive Russian Language (for all levels and backgrounds)

Through the Advanced Critical Language Institute:
- Students who have successfully completed at least two years of Russian language study can elect to pursue a course of study dedicated to Intensive Russian Language Study.
- NEW! Students who grew up in a Russian-speaking home can participate in our unique Advanced Russian program designed especially for Russian "Heritage" speakers.

NYI: Linguistics, Cognition, and Culture
The New York-St. Petersburg Institute of Linguistics, Cognition, and Culture (NYI) is an annual interdisciplinary academic program hosted by St. Petersburg State University, in partnership with Stony Brook University. NYI was founded by John Bailyn, Associate Professor of Linguistics at Stony Brook University, and Anna A. Maslennikova, Professor of English Philology at St. Petersburg State University.
NYI features an international faculty who offer a range of advanced seminars, lectures, round tables and mini-conferences in the humanities and social sciences, including generative linguistics, critical cultural studies, cognitive psychology, media studies and others. Over 1000 students from over 35 countries have attended NYI since 2003. All seminars and events are in English. 2013 will be the 11th year of NYI. |
